I am offering 13×19 inch prints of twenty of my photographs. These were printed using an inkjet printer that was modified to use special carbon inks replacing the normal inks that would be found in these printers. The results are beautiful archival photographs on fine art drawing paper.
The photos you see on this page were taken of the actual prints after they were made. For most of the images I have only printed one or two copies, I’m not sure if I will print more in the future. It is more likely I will print different images for a future set to be offered here, but I’ll see as I go. Also keep in mind that although I have taken great care to present these images as close as possibly to what the print actually looks like, there are a number of factors that prevent perfect reproduction on the internet. I assure you the prints look better in person.

A Stage For Nature (2019-2022)
This is a print that took two years for me to make. First of all, when I initially photographed this concrete slab in July of 2019 I was not happy with the results. The sky wasn’t exactly how I had intended it to be and there where portions that were out of focus that should not have been. I returned in September of that same year to retake the image you see here. Still I struggled with the post processing to get everything to look the way I wanted. I finally took a break from the image in the winter of 2021 and did not come back to it until summer 0f 2022. That is when I was finally able to get the image to look perfect, as you see it. 13×19 inches 11×17 inch image size (1 inch borders) Carbon ink print on 100% cotton rag fine art paper.

Birdhouse (2009)
I found this birdhouse while I was on a walk through an industrial section of the small town were I lived in 2009. This was definitely a great example of my philosophy that interesting images can be found anywhere. 13×19 inches 11×17 inch image size (1 inch borders) Carbon ink print on 100% cotton rag fine art paper.
$75.00

Couch (2022)
I noticed someone had set this wooden back of a bed or couch in the alleyway behind a business, as if they didn’t know what to do with this now defunct piece of furniture. 13×19 inches 11×17 inch image size (1 inch borders) Carbon ink print on 100% cotton rag fine art paper.
$75.00

Black on Black (2012)
An experiment in minimalism. This image was taken at Springfield Lake, a few miles south of Springfield, MO. My original intention was to make this image a much lighter shade of grey, but the more I thought about it the more it made sense to go darker to emphasize the contrast between the white flowers and the rest of the photograph. 13×19 inches 11×17 inch image size (1 inch borders) Carbon ink print on 100% cotton rag fine art paper.
$75.00

Silhouette (2021)
This was another image I took less than a mile from my house, thus proving my theory that good photographs can be made anywhere. I often go on walks from my home to the downtown area of the small town we live in, photographing things that catch my attention along the way. This happened to catch my attention. 13×19 inches 11×17 inch image size (1 inch borders) Carbon ink print on 100% cotton rag fine art paper.
$75.00

Flowing (2017)
This is what Springfield Lake looked liked after the city got done making the improvements that where happening at the time of “Mud”. The texture of the concrete and the action of the flowing water were what drew me to photograph this one. 13×19 inches 11×17 inch image size (1 inch borders) Carbon ink print on 100% cotton rag fine art paper.
$75.00

Cityscape Reflection (2017)
I have been fascinated with reflections for several years now. This is one of the best examples that I have created so far. I think what I like most about this one is the merging of the interior and exterior worlds. 13×19 inches 11×17 inch image size (1 inch borders) Carbon ink print on 100% cotton rag fine art paper.
$75.00

Metal Still Life (2019)
The quality of the light striking this metal object is what attracted me to it in the first place. The layers of wire mesh, vine and bolted sheet metal make for an interesting photograph. 13×19 inches 11×17 inch image size (1 inch borders) Carbon ink print on 100% cotton rag fine art paper.
$75.00

Particle Board (2022)
In the same parking lot across the street from my house. I thought the arrangement of the boards and discolored areas of the concrete made for an interesting composition. 13×19 inches 11×17 inch image size (1 inch borders) Carbon ink print on 100% cotton rag fine art paper.
$75.00

Two Rocks (2012)
This was photographed in Wilson’s Creek further downstream from the other photographs. The texture on the rocks, the quality of the light and the objects under the water combine to make this a beautiful composition. 13×19 inches 12.75×12.75″ image size Carbon ink print on 100% cotton rag fine art paper.
$75.00

Symbol (2021)
Evidence I found of someone having fun in an abandoned parking lot. This parking lot was for a hardware store which was torn down a few years ago that was located across the street from my house. The parking lot is all that is left. 13×19 inches 12.5×12.5″ image size Carbon ink print on 100% cotton rag fine art paper.
$75.00

Rainy Day (2010)
I went on one of my many photo walks right after a rain storm and found the remnants of a kitchen floor from a house that had been demolished. 13×19 inches 12.75×12.75″ image size Carbon ink print on 100% cotton rag fine art paper.
$75.00

Stepping Stones (2011)
This image was taken on Wilson’s Creek in Springfield, MO. I like the contrast of the very large concrete blocks and the water and trees. This image is an early example of my fascination with reflections. 13×19 inches 12.5×12.5″ image size Carbon ink print on 100% cotton rag fine art paper.
$75.00

Two Suns (2014)
I made many trips to Springfield Lake around this time. I would wonder the shoreline looking for anything that would interest me. The main thing I was drawn to were the textures on the ground, the dirt, lichen and twigs. I really only noticed the two reflections that resemble suns after I started working on the image in Photoshop. 13×19 inches 12.75×12.75″ image size Carbon ink print on 100% cotton rag fine art paper.
$75.00

100+ Tiny White Dots (2012)
This was from another of my many visits to Springfield Lake. This image is a little bit of an inside joke with the tiny white dots. I often will edit my images in Photoshop to remove small distractions, usually white specks. It is admittedly an OCD compulsion of mine. In this image the white dots are an important part of the composition, so they must stay untouched. I believe they were birds, but I have know way of knowing this. 13×19 inches 12.75×12.75″ image size Carbon ink print on 100% cotton rag fine art paper.
$75.00

Mud (2014)
The city of Springfield, MO drained the lake in Nathaniel-Greene Park in 2014. I often photographed in this park at the time and I found this rock in the middle of the dried up lake bed. Geese visit the park, you can see their footprints in the mud at the bottom of the photograph. 13×19 inches 12.75×12.75″ image size Carbon ink print on 100% cotton rag fine art paper.
$75.00

Tiny Island (2012)
This was another image taken on Wilson’s Creek in Springfield, MO. I was walking along the bank of the creek with my camera and tripod slung over my shoulder when I saw this very small area out in the middle of the water. The texture of the “island” and the reflections in the background make this one of my favorite images from this period. 13×19 inches 12.5×12.5″ image size Carbon ink print on 100% cotton rag fine art paper.
$75.00

White Picket Fence (2019)
I was thinking of the famous photographer Paul Strand as I was taking this image. Of course his photograph, “The White Fence” (1916) is much more traditional. 13×19 inches 12.5×12.5″ image size Carbon ink print on 100% cotton rag fine art paper.
$75.00

Branch (2010
Early morning frost on a fallen branch. The leaves in the background are actually under water. 13×19 inches 12.5×12.5″ image size Carbon ink print on 100% cotton rag fine art paper.
$75.00

Tangled Branches (2019)
In 2019 I did what is called a 365 project. I left my house every day and photographed. I then posted the best image I had taken for the day on my WordPress blog. I did this every day in 2019, 365 days. This photograph was taken 12/12/2019, so towards the end of the project. It was photographed in a dry creek bed near my house. 13×19 inches 12.5×12.5″ image size Carbon ink print on 100% cotton rag fine art paper.
